President Obama!

Wednesday, November 5th, 2008

Something that does not suck in any way happened last night. Barack Obama won the 2008 presidential election. It is possibly the single most important event I will witness in my lifetime.

I’m in too good of a mood right now to post about stuff that sucks.

Have a great evening!

McCain/Palin Suck Ass! Vote Obama! 2008 Presidential Election Results Already?

John McCain Pinches a Loaf

John McCain Pinches a Loaf

OK, so it’s election day 2008. Go out and cast your vote for Obama, if you haven’t already. If you are thinking about voting for McCain just stay home and read your bible instead. Maybe you could head on over to the firing range or play tennis on your own personal court (as these would most likely be the reasons why you would actually want to vote for him).

A lot of news networks, newspapers and websites are reporting on the election results already. Let’s be honest though, no one will really know the results until all is said and done. You know, like the Repubs coming in and tipping the scales in their own favor, like they did in the last two presidential elections.

Any way you look at it the McCain/Palin ticket sucks ass really hard. Let’s move forward people, not go back to the dark ages. I mean McCain is the guy who talks about cutting government spending yet spends $9000 a month on make-up. Sarah Palin, i’ve got nothing to say about her, everyone knows she’s a fucking idiot. Obama’s not going to magically clean up the country, but he’ll at least get us heading in the right direction.

Even if you don’t give two shits about politics, if you vote you can get a free Starbucks coffee or any of the other free goodies being given away today. Check it out…

Sarah Palin Disney Movie?

Tuesday, September 30th, 2008

Sarah Palin

It’s like a really bad Disney movie.  The hockey mom from Alaska…is the Vice President. She’s facing down Vladmir Putin using the folksy stuff she learned at the hockey rink.  It’s absurd.”  Matt Damon 9/10/08

If Sarah Palin wasn’t so freakishly scary, I might have to agree with Matt Damon and this Sarah Palin Disney  trailer might be a little more amusing (ok, I admit…it’s hilarious).  But seriously, what was McCain high on when choosing her as the Vice Presidential candidate?  This is a woman who does not believe in evolution.  This is a woman who would (and did) sue the government for saying that polar bears are endangered because it interfered with oil drilling in Alaska. This is a woman who claimed foreign relations experience because “our next door neighbors are foreign countries that are in the state that I am executive of.”

Come again?

That reminds me, if you haven’t seen Palin’s interview with Katie Couric, you must watch it now.  I agree with Ron Chusid when he says, “She is a new face, but she seems rather empty in the ideas department. If you really want a new face but from someone who has actual ideas and who understands the ideas Palin gives a good reason to vote for Barack Obama.”

If you aren’t fully convinced in the stupidity of our possible next Vice President, who’s ability to become our next President could rely on the continued pulse of a 72-year old man who refuses to release his full medical records, then I am confident when I say there is no hope for you.  And I certainly hope Disney isn’t taking any pointers from Matt Damon…unless they are heading down the road of producing horror films.

$700B Bailout Plan Up For Debate In House Today

Monday, September 29th, 2008
The House debates the $700 billion Emergency Economic Stabilization Act.

The House debates the $700 billion Emergency Economic Stabilization Act.

The $700 billion bailout plan has been pushed to the next level after a 220-198 vote in the House of Representatives today.   The plan now goes to a three-hour debate, followed by a vote.  Is anyone else as freaked as I am?  Not just because of the fear-mongering tactics they are employing to get everyone to think that this plan in necessary.  But more that people are believing it!  Why should we have to pay greedy corporate bastards to try to correct the mess they got us into in the first place? Why shouldn’t the American people (those who are really in trouble) be the ones who get the bailout? Oh sorry…”recovery plan.” The only time the government gets both sides together with bipartisan tactics is when there is something they really want everyone to believe in without questioning it. But if people look a little closer, you might realize that there are other options. This (evil) “plan” seems like one last nail in the coffin before Bush leaves office. I have to agree with this blogger when he says that this entire thing is extortion.

According to Rep. Scott Garrett, “America you should be outraged about what Washington is about to do because Washington is not listening to you.”  He goes on to refresh our memories that the US has given advice to other countries who have seen similar economic struggles.  In those instances, our government said the answer was simple: “Balance the budget, cut government employment, maintain free trade and the rule of law, and don’t prop up failing enterprises.”  So why don’t we follow our own advice?

Please contact your representative now and tell them that you demand real action.  We need to tell them that we are sick of bailouts.
